Hey there!
Happy late Thanksgiving to those who celebrated the holiday this week. Hope your stomachs are full of turkey and stuffing! Even though us Canadians didn't celebrate Thanksgiving this week, the girls and I sure had a feast of our own on Friday night. We gathered with some friends at our buddy Chris' house for an event we call Pie Day. The rules for Pie Day are pretty simple: only foods that are in pie form or that have 'pie' in their name are allowed to be eaten at Pie Day. Let me tell you, this round of Pie Day sure did not disappoint:
Appetizers: we started off the evening with an assortment of mini quiches: spinach & artichoke, broccoli & double cheddar cheese, mushroom & pepper jack cheese, and swiss cheese & applewood bacon.
Main course: Diana brought a delicious homemade shepherd's pie and a tourtiere. The mashed potatoes on that shepherd's pie were heavenly :)
Dessert: I think there were more dessert pies than any other pies: Diana's peanut butter and chocolate pie with graham cracker crust, Kathy's s'mores pie with a fudgy chocolately centre and marshmallows on top, and Chris' mom's homemade apple and pecan pies. I am so full just thinking about this.
To make our Pie Day extra special, we watched a whole lot of this classic Montreal show:
Have a great week, Friends!

Once upon a time a man named weird al wrote a whole bunch of songs with food themes. This has been very handy for me when I have to write a food blog post and need a title.
On that note. Last week-ish Martin and Dave united us over for some Paula Deen inspired Lasagna Sandwiches. Basically you take a lasagna and sandwich it between two slices of garlic bun and you have a delicious supper. We so made Felix and Norton cookies for dessert.
I have a delicious picture on my phone that I can't upload right now but for fear of a huniliaton post at my expense I'm gonna post this now and upload the picture now.

You Know You Love It
DIANA FORGOT TO BLOG!! HUMILIATION POST
So I've had this little gem on my phone for almost a year now, I knew it would come in handy!
This is why Diana doesn't get a mic. Enjoy!
Hopefully Diana still blogs this week, just because if it's about our food adventure of last week, it deserves to be blogged about!

Coffee and Cigarettes
Hey there!
Hope you're having a great weekend! Ours started off quite well. On Friday night, we played a show at a coffee shop in Dorval called Urban Agenda (http://urbanagenda.com/). The vibe and smell in that place was amazing. Nothing better than the smell of fresh coffee on a cool fall night :) The calm atmosphere in the shop was definitely a welcome change from the loud venues we're used to playing at! Thanks so much to everyone who came to the show and made it a delightful evening. Oh, and the best part of the night? Lots of people brought their adorable children to the show!
Seeing as we just played at a coffee shop, I thought this song would be appropriate:
See ya!
